February 9 Opening Reception:
6:00 pm :: Gallery Talk
5:00-8:00 pm :: Reception

This exhibit brings together a number of artists whose work revolves around different aspects of identity construction.  Its ambiguous title alludes to the way in which people, places, objects and time all inform each other in complex and layered ways.  As firmly rooted in a present moment or place as someone or something is, they always carry with them the residue of the past as well as a relationship to a time that has not yet arrived.  The English philosopher Bertrand Russell once said about the future, “One must care about a world one will not see”.  This exhibit asks that one also consider and care about a world we did not see, one that rests in the past, and in turn also the many worlds we do not see that exist very much in the present.
