Pamela Z, a New York and San Francisco based artist, is a recipient of the Guggenheim Media Fellowship and represented the US in the Dakar Biennale of 2004. This will be Z's first presentation in the Boston area. Pamela Z's work combines operatic bell canto and extended operatic experimental techniques with concrete sounds triggered with MIDI controller that allows her to manipulate sounds with physical gestures. A well-known figure on the international contemporary music circuit, Pamela Z is an electro-acoustic diva.
